The Unarmed guard card class is an 8-hour classroom only training.

When you complete the class you will have the basic knowledge to qualify for the Arizona Unarmed Guard card. This class will also satisfy the bi-yearly requirements for a renewal license as well. Additionally, there is a $72 fee to DPS.
Unarmed training must be completed prior to taking the armed course.
You do not need to have your paperwork submitted, but you must have completed the unarmed training and have your training verification form to show it.
Armed Guard Card Training
16 Hours
The Armed Guard Course is a 16-Hour Course which includes a qualification course.
Students will also be required to display shooting proficiency by firing a 50 round qualification and achieving a score of at least 70 percent.

60 Rounds of ammunitions; 50 for qualification and achieving a score of at least 70 percent.; 10 rounds for practice
Additional Firearm Training- Federal Air Marshal Tactical Pistol Course 30 Round- This course is designed to assist companies the ability to know their Armed Guard firearms capabilities and proficiency for more robust risk/ threat assignments. There are no additional costs for this qualification course
Cost $70- No fingerprints are needed unless the fingerprints on file with DPS are over 90 days old. There are additional fees to AZ DPS.
